Just spending a little time preparing for the meditation, you can feel to have a deeper experience in meditation ? To help you, We create a list of step to prepare yourself for meditation.
#1 Choose a Suitable time : Meditation is essentially a relaxation time, so it should be done entirely at your own convenience. Choose a time when you know you are not likely to be disturbed and are free to relax and enjoy.
The time of sunrise and sunset, while nature transitions between the day and night, are ideal for practice.
#2 Choose a silence place : Quiet and peaceful surroundings ( especially in garden )can make the meditation experience more enjoyable and relaxing.
#3 Sit comfortable :Your posture makes a lots of difference. Make sure you are completely relaxed, comfortable and steady.
Sit straight with your spine in erect posture and keep your shoulders and neck in relaxed position, and eyes closed throughout the process.
That you have to sit in Padmasana (the lotus position) to meditate is a very common myth of meditation.
#4 Try to meditate with empty stomach: A good time to meditate is early morning before having meal. because after having food, you might feel uneasiness or heaviness while meditating. Also not force yourself to meditate when you are too hungry.
Its really difficult because of hunger cramps. In this case, you can meditate two hours after having food.
#5 Start with a warm-up : Do sukshma yoga exercises before sitting to meditate. This will helps in improving blood circulation, removes the inertia , restlessness and makes the body feel more lighter. This will helps you to sit steadily for a longer time.
# 6 Do some breathing exercises : This is again a preparation for easy meditation process. Deep breathing inhaling and exhailing exercises ( Pranayama ) is good. This helps to steady the rhythm of the breath and leads the mind in to a peaceful meditative state.
#7 Keep a smiling face: A gentle smile throughout the meditation keeps your mind relaxed, peaceful and enhances your meditation experience.
#8 At the end of meditation open your eyes slowly and gently : At the end of the meditation, don't be in a hurry to open the eyes and start moving away. Try to open your eyes slowly and gradually . Take your time to become aware of yourself and your surroundings.
